Retrieve data from upgraded ubuntu (wubi 12.04 to 14.04)

As I discussed in my previous blog post long time ago, the upgraded ubuntu won’t boot up if one has used wubi to install previous ubtuntu version. I was able to find a solution to retrieve data, a week later, but forgot to write about it (and pretty much anything else :p). Basically, wubi creates a file called root.disk in the directory : <your_directory>\ubuntu\disks. You can download extractors which can extract your important data from this file.

Don’t upgrade Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 if you used wubi for installation

Well after 24 hours of effort, what I found out is that there is a problem with upgrading to 14.04 LTS if you have used wubi for installation. I found it out the hard way after upgrading whole thing and then finding out that Ubuntu won’t boot up.

Viridian City

I was just spending some time on youtube and got this video : Pokemon- Viridian City . This reminded me of the time when I was like in 5th or 6th grade and used to watch Pokemon at 5 p.m., every weekday. Song is really motivating and it still gives me goosebumps. I would suggest that everyone should listen to this song at least once in their lifetime.
